Wait… WordPress… What?

I think I may have taken a wrong turn somewhere around Albuquerque .
Okay, not recently, but I did, once. The lost feeling I had then is really similar to the one I’ve got now. I was used to the east coast, where everything is hilly, and green, and not Albuquerque. And this blog/website is no longer on blogger!
For a while now I’ve been blogging on blogger – about my writing, and book releases, and reviews of other people’s books. At the same time, I’ve been maintaining my website, where my blog feed goes, but there are also all the book information pages that just never seemed to stay as updated as I would like. It’s just so easy to write a blog post, compared to logging into the website back end to update a page.
I think the thing I like about WordPress the best so far, is that I can write a post, label it with the book title, and it shows up on that book’s individual page. Sure, I could use categories on blogger, but that didn’t copy it over to my website.
You’ll have to forgive me if you visit and things seem a bit screwy over the new few weeks as I learn my way around all the nifty WordPress tools, but I’ll try not to break things…too much.
I’m thrilled I managed to complete the conversion before Friday Cover Reveal for No One’s Angel. And in the spirit of No One’s Angel, I’m going to treat myself to a well deserved visit to Starbucks. (Angel is a complete coffee addict.) I wish I could take one of you with me out for a nice relaxing cup of coffee, but I’m going to do the next best thing.
One lucky winner will receive a $5 Starbucks egift card, and their choice of an ebook copy of one of the fabulous NA Contemporary romances I’ve read recently gifted through Amazon. I’ve not had time to review everything I’ve read recently, but over the last few months each and ever one of these books has been a delight to indulge in. I heartily recommend all of them.
Shine not burn by Elle Casey, YA Fiction novelist
Mack is so awesome, I just don’t have words. He’s especially swoonworthy because of how committed and loyal he is. Gotta love a man who knows what he wants.
Stardust by Mimi Strong, Author
The cliffhanger is going to kill me, but the humor made up for it. This book is beyond hilarious, and a far cry from ordinary.
Tragic by Author J. A. Huss
Rook and Ronin are HOT HOT HOT. Lordy, I never know what these characters are going to say next, and that makes it downright fun. Manic comes out soon.
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
Hopeless is such a testament to the way love never truly goes away, and when you make a connection with someone, it goes bone-deep. Holder is so devoted it makes your heart hurt for him.
Passion Potion by Mary Beth Daniels (Find her here: mbdaniels.tumblr.com)
Passion potion is fun and funky and humorous. It reminded me of Sabrina the Teenage witch in a quirky, fun way.
Dare You To by Katie McGarry
Omg – Beth and Ryan are just OMG. Beth makes seriously stupid choices, but I had a hard time faulting her. She’s a wrong thing for the right reasons kind of girl, and Ryan is extraordinary. Read it!
Wait For You by Jennifer L. Armentrout
It’s by Jennifer Armentrout’s Alter-Ego J. Lynn, so it is sort of a given that it will be good. I loved it, and stayed up half the night to read it. Not many guys can be that determined, without looking like a fool, but Cam is special and determined, and sets the mold seriously high for what a book-boyfriend should be. He’s almost the exact opposite of Daemon from the Lux series.
Also, Obsession by Ms. Armentrout as well =)
I’m Obsessed with everything Lux, and will read anything she writes about it, from a kid’s picture book, up to something that would make my ears blush so hard they fall off. This was no exception, and it paints such a captivating, shocking portrait of the Lux world from a different perspective.
Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase
Suddenly Royal was positively delightful. It was so captivating, it felt truly real. Sam is painted so vividly, and there is so much depth and believability to her character, it made this a delight to read. And Alex can help me with my zipper any time.
Off Limits by Sawyer Bennett
I’ve read both Off Limits and Off the Record, and intend to read Off sides, but so far Off Limits is my favorite of the series. I loved the Emily was so aware of her previous faults, and was determined to be a better person. I adored Nix, and was truly cheering for him to pull himself together.
One Week Girlfriend and Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy
Drew+Fable=Swoon. Seriously, this pair of books is amazing. After you read it, you’ll be crying Marshmellow. Fable is so giving, you almost have to worry if she’ll have anything left for herself, and Drew has had a seriously crappy run of luck in the family department. She has huge responsibilities, and he takes them in stride just as much as she accepts his demons.
So there you have it folks – If you’re looking for a beach read, or something to cry over, or a hero to obsess over – Give one of the above a try, and don’t forget you can enter to win. Feel free to leave recommendations of titles you’ve enjoyed for me to check out =)
I’ll be doing another pick a book giveaway later this summer, with fantasy books instead when the Second Stone audiobook comes out.
