Q: If you could “unread” a book, which one would it be? Is it because you want to start over and experience it again for the first time? Or because it was THAT bad?

This is a really hard question for me to answer. I guess I would have to say The Vampire Diaries: The Hunters set. While I hated the end of Midnight, it at least felt sort of right – although still mostly wrong. I cried. I threw things – like my kindle. But I could have lived with it, unhappily.
What I have a harder time accepting, is characters going in a direction that they never should, at a publisher’s whim. And I really feel like that is what happened. The story should have been done. Done. But it was a hit show and they wanted to capitalize on it. Fine. Stay true to the series and to the books. They took it a step farther when they fired the author, because she was trying to do justice to her characters.
This is the first and only series I have ever walked away from. Normally I have a really hard time walking away. I even ended up going back to One tree hill at the end ( even though as far as I was concerned for a few years, it ended when Lucas and Peyton left.) I need closure. Always. I haven’t bought the most recent book, and I wont. I’d like to say its out of principle and in support for L J Smith. But it’s not.  It’s because when I read the last two, I didn’t enjoy them. They made me angry, and frustrated and undermined a series I had loved. I can get annoyed easily enough for free, I’m not going to pay $10 to read my series get ruined even more.

Wow. Tangent. Ooops.
Oh and for the record? I’m afraid that Miss Sookie Stackhouse is headed the same direction. Team Eric. Please…mkay.
